Afterschool Program Coordinator
Cayanne Korder is an Afterschool Program Coordinator dedicated to fostering strong, healthy communities through youth engagement and education. Cayanne is passionate about community resilience and creating spaces where young people can learn, grow, and thrive.
Before stepping into this role, Cayanne worked in environmental research and education, including a fellowship at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute in Panama, where she contributed to reforestation projects and community-based science initiatives. Her work focused on the intersection of human and environmental health, a theme she continues to explore in her efforts to connect youth with hands-on learning opportunities that build leadership, confidence, and a sense of belonging.
Cayanne is a graduate of Red Wing High School and holds a B.S. in Human Biology and Anthropology from Emory University. Outside of work, Cayanne enjoys spending time with her eleven siblings, canoeing, and continuously learning—whether it’s through books, new skills, or outdoor adventures. She is excited to help create meaningful programs that empower students and strengthen the community.
